Time Commitment
The retreat consists of four full writing days with a half-day on each end for travel. The Wishin’ Jupiter Ranch is about five hours from Omaha. Please plan to attend the entire retreat.

Format
Silence is maintained, more or less, until some time around the evening meal. If you prefer talking, and find a willing listener, you’re welcome to find a space to visit.
Within that, people eat, nap, take walks and swims, explore, read, write, paint and think. Evenings include walks, picnics, bonfires, guitars, tours, and some fine talk and readings.
Also some shenanigans and mischief. The Bobolinks band, armed with cottonwood leaf flutes, declared themselves quite entertaining.

Food
We’ll have an evening meal ready for the day you arrive. After that, each person brings fixings to prepare an evening meal for the whole group. (Assuming seven people, one person can bring breakfast and/or lunch stuff.) Everyone is invited to bring their preferred breakfast, lunch and snack items, including anything they'd like to share with the group.
A word to the wise about food: there’s usually dinner leftovers and lots of stuff already in the pantry: staples, peanut butter and jelly, coffee, canned goods, fruit, so no need to overdo.
Feel free to help yourself. There are a couple of refrigerators.
